皇居前で取材を受ける大樋長左衛門、母 容子
天皇陛下から親授（直接授与）される文化勲章の親授式が，11月3日，皇居宮殿松の間で行われた。
引き続き内閣総理大臣から勲記が伝達された。
報道陣に囲まれた記者会見で、大樋長左衛門は地域社会と連動する工芸運動を深めていきたいと答えた。
そして、母は亡くなった妹 由美の写真を秘めて親授式に臨んだ。我々とともに喜んでいるに違いない。
