昭和22年に北國新聞社が制定したこの賞は、石川県内で文化に貢献し傑出した人々に贈られてきた。
父 大樋長左衛門は昭和42年、若干40歳で北國文化賞を受賞している。
そして、今回は文化勲章を授章することで特別に褒章が授与された。
当日は、皇居での親授式があるため出席できないために私の代理出席となった。

It was contributed to culture in Ishikawa, and this prize that Hokkoku Newspaper established
in 1947 has been given prominent people.
Father Chozaemon Ohi wins the order of the Hokkoku Culture Merit at 40 years old slightly
in 1967.And a medal of honor was conferred on Japan Top’ Cultural Medal in particular this time.
It became my substitute attendance on that day.
Because he could not attend there was ceremony at the Imperial Palace.
