2011/10/28 第43回日展開場式。文化庁長官 近藤誠一氏の挨拶。
文化庁長官 近藤誠一氏に自作を説明する大樋長左衛門。
私の作品は第１室に陳列されている。
作品名神之器「尊崇」
第43回日展が東京国立新美術館で開幕した。
今回の工芸部門において、特筆すべきことが二つある。
福島県在住の近藤学氏。
被災した福島の原子力発電所から彼の自宅と工房は10キロ圏内となるため避難所での生活となっている。
その環境下でありながら素晴らしい作品を出品されている。制作することで普段の自らが保てたそうだ。
そして、石川県から多数の入選者が出たことは、出身者である私は審査員として誇りだった。
その中でも山元健司君は、重度の耳の障害を克服し、独自の芸術を表現したことで特選を受賞した。
彼の純粋な眼差しによって、多くの人々の心が救われることだろう。
11月13日、私は審査員として会場にいる。

The 43rd Nitten opening type. Greetings of Secretary of Agency for Cultural Affairs Kondo Seiichi.
Ohi Chozaemon Ⅹ who explains own work to Secretary of Agency for Cultural Affairs Kondo Seiichi.
My work is exhibited in the first room.
Ceremonial Vessel
The 43rd Nitten began in the Tokyo National New Museum.
In this craft arts section, there are two notable things.
Mr. Kondo Manabu resident in Fukushima.
His home and studio become the life at the refuge from the nuclear power plant of Fukushima
whom they suffered from to become the 10 kilos range.
While there is it under the environment, however he exhibited a splendid work.
Everyday oneself seems to have been able to keep it by making work.
And it was a large number of enters from Ishikawa Prefecture. I was a pride as a judge.
Mr. yamamoto Kenji overcame the obstacle of a severe ear in that and received special
award by having expressed original art.
It will be that the heart of many people is saved by his pure look.
On November 13, I am in the exhibition place as a judge.
