東大寺二月堂で点前をする麹谷宏先生
待合い床に飾られた私の制作した大服茶碗 銘「奈巴場礼」
KENZO ESTATE 社長辻本憲三氏、東大寺別当 大河原 公敬師とともに
デザイナー 麹谷宏先生とは茶美会を通じた長い御付き合いだ。
故 伊住政和宗匠、故 田中一光氏との出会いの橋渡しをさせて頂いたのわたしなのだが、
その際に茶美会という新しい茶のかたちを模索する会が生まれた。
25年も前のことなのだが、建築家、デザイナー、学識者、工芸家で構成されたこの試みは、
雑誌などでも何度も取り上げられ大きな反響となった。その時に出会ったのが麹谷先生なのだ。
東大寺二月堂で行われたのだが、まず口にしたのは米国ナパバレーのKENZO ESTATEのワイン、
そしてチーズなどを点心として食した。
立礼棚もBARのカウンターイメージされたものだろう。
今、千利休がもし生きていたら？このような茶のかたちで人々にもてなしていたのかもしれない。
麹谷先生の茶は、理にかなった現代茶会だった。奈良まで出向いて本当に良かった。
Designer Kojitani Hiroshi performed tea in Todai-ji Temple Nigatsu-do Hall
It was displayed my big tea bowl named Napa Barei (place for praying) in waiting room
with Mr Tsujimoto Kenzo (president of Kenzo Estate) and Rev Okawara kokei (Chief Abbot Todaiji)
Designer Hiroshi Kojitani and I are long time friend through the SABIE tea group.
it was encounter, I mediated with late Masakazu Izumi (tea master),
and late Ikko Tanaka(designer). And it was groped of new tea style called SABIE.
It was over 25 years, but, as for this trial that consisted of an architect, a designer, intelligence,
craft artist, even magazines were taken up many times, and it was with a big reaction.
At that time, I could meet Mr Kojitani.
It was performed in Todai-ji Temple Nigatsu-do Hall,
but at first thing was set wine of KENZO ESTATE of American Napa Valley and cheese.
Tea cabinet probably will be imaged from BAR counter.
If Sen Rikyu lives now?
he may have treated us with this tea form to people.
His tea idea was malted by logical modern tea ceremony.
I went to Nara by car and it was really good idea.
