そして、子供の頃から長島、王という偉大な選手を輩出してきた東京ジャイアンツがずっと好きだった。
今日の楽天との試合をボストンに留学していた頃の仲間と観戦した。
杉内投手は9回2アウトまで完全試合だった。
最後のバッターに四球だったせいで、完全試合を逃してしまったが、ノーヒットノーランを成し遂げた。
記念すべき試合を目撃した私は、忘れることはないだろう。茶道言う、一期一会なのかもしれない。
