昨年、父である長左衛門は文化勲章を受章した。
そして、盛大な祝賀会がホテル日航金沢で開かれ栄誉を約540人が称えたくれた。
父はこれまでに日本芸術院賞受賞、日本芸術院会員就任、文化功労者、そして今回の文化勲章受章、それぞれの節目を過今見て来た。
そして必ず大きな祝賀会が催されてきた。そして彼は、石川県名誉県民、金沢市名誉市民ともなっている。
公人である大樋長左衛門。そして私の父親でもある。
長男として複雑な気持ちでいつもいる。そして、今まで親孝行はしたことがなかった。
昨年、文化勲章受章した父は、晩秋からつい先般まで制作を繰り返した。
その時間を初めて共有した自分は、父の姿を初めて見たのかもしれない。
盛大な祝賀会を主催してくれた北國新聞社に多大なご尽力を頂いた。
深く感謝を申し上げたい。

As for father, I was just watched Art Academy Prize receiving in Japan,
became the member of Japan Art Academy, persons of cultural merits and this Cultural
Medal receipt of a decoration, each turning point so far.
And a big celebration has been held by each times.
And he becomes Ishikawa honor citizen of the prefecture, the Kanazawa-city honorary citizen.
Chozaemon Ohi who is a public person.
And it is my father.
There is always with a complicated feeling as the eldest son.
And I have not been dutiful to my parents so far.
He was just working after presented a Cultural Medal from late fall until today.
I could share that time for the first time may have watched a figure of father for the first time.
