於 ニューヨーク日本クラブ
東京都とニューヨーク市民による草の根レベルの交流を目的として、1996年にスタートしたこの展覧会、
そのほとんどを私は審査員として招かれてきた。
今回は、Ron Labaco氏（キュレーター、アート＆デザイン美術館）、土肥信一氏（元コンサベーター、メトロポリタン美術館）、
Cora Rosevear氏（副キュレーター、MOMA）、村瀬実恵子氏（コロンビア大学名誉教授、元メトロポリタン美術館東洋部特別顧問）
と共に審査させて頂いた。
夜は、受賞式が催され、最優秀賞は、全日空から東京ーニューヨーク往復航空券が贈られた。
作品は3月1日より7日まで、ニューヨークにある日本クラブ内日本ギャラリーにて展示されている。
at New York Nippon Club
CaFa was organized in 1997 to further the cultural ties between the sister cities of New York and Tokyo
by encouraging and honoring the creativity of their clay artists.
All ceramists from New York and Tokyo are invited to enter the competition.
I am being eminent judge and Ron Labaco, Marcia Docter Curator of Museum of Arts & Design; Shinichi Doi,
former conservator, The Metropolitan Museum; Cora Rosevear, Associate Curator,
Museum of Modern Art; Professor Miyeko Murase, Columbia University and former Special Consultant
for Japanese Art at The Metropolitan Museum selected winning pieces.
An exhibition of the selected pieces will be presented at The Nippon Gallery at The
Nippon Club from March 1 to March 7, 2016.
The reception and award presentation ceremony was held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6 p.m.
First Place Grand Prize winner was received a round trip ticket from New York to Tokyo contributed
by All Nippon Airways.
