今日の政府発表で、第9回日展に出品した「モニュメントクリフ」によって私が受賞することが決まった。
日本芸術院からこの知らせを受けたのは2月21日。
私は仕事でシンガポールに長男・祐希といて、彼の誕生日でもあった。
そして、5年前の同じ日は、愛する娘と互いの仕事で偶然にもシンガポールにいた。
残念ながらその歳に娘は亡くなってしまったのだが、、、
授賞式は，天皇皇后両陛下の行幸啓を仰ぐことになっている。
人生の中でこんな栄誉ある賞を受けれることは、夢のような気がする。
そして、天から娘が見守ってくれているに違いない。
Today the government announced that I will receive an award for “Monument Cliff,” which I exhibited at the 9th Nitten.
I received this news from the Japan Art Academy on February 21.
I was in Singapore on business with my oldest son Yuki, and it was also his birthday.
On the same day five years ago, my beloved daughter and I happened to be in Singapore for mutual business. Unfortunately, my daughter passed away at that age,
The award ceremony is to be attended by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan.
It feels like a dream come true to receive such a prestigious award in my life. And my daughter must be watching over me from heaven.
