工芸創造都市研究所の創設。異分野、都市工学、料理、ツーリズム、心理学、
専門家による話し合いで工芸のポテンシャルの向上を試みることなどが反し合われた
夜はレセプションが行われた。女優 檀ふみさんが、新デザインの加賀友禅を着て出席された。
金沢市長 山出 保氏の挨拶のなかで、現代美術館を始めとした周辺施設を充実させて、
このようなイベントを開催できるような、
類をみないすばらしい町となってきた。4年後には新幹線も開通する。
このようなことを述べられた。市民の町づくりの意識はとても高い。
