金沢の若手の工芸家が、競い合いながら、交流を深めていく集まりができた。
20代から40代が中心で、規則も何もなく、垣根を超えたものである。
顧問に金沢21世紀美術館館長 秋元雄史氏、副代表に漆芸家 西村優氏、代表に私が就任することになったのだが、
互いが切磋琢磨するという趣旨に基づき「金沢クラフトリーグ」と命名させていただいた。
今日から、金沢広坂クラフトで13人の工芸家が参加して展覧会が始まったのだが、
早速に、秋元雄史氏を招き勉強会を開催した。
私の一つの願いは、彼らと共に、これからの工芸を世界中に発信していくことでもある。

13 of young craft artists in Kanazawa starts the group exhibition.
There is no rule and members are between 20s and 40s and it is the thing beyond the fence.
I named “Kanazawa craft league” and to be adviser Mr.Akimoto Yuji (Kanazawa the 21st century)
a vice-representative Nishimura Osamu (lacquer art) and I am representative. I hope all members
are based on a purpose to work together in competition.
From today, exhibition started at Kanazawa Hirosaka Craft Gallery. And it was already and
held a study session by Mr. Akimoto Yuji.
A wish of one of mine is to send craft in the future to the world with them.
