今年は兎年。私の父も兎年だ。

第50回記念日本現代工芸美術展、第52回現代美術展の審査員となることが内定している。
主要な地域では大きな個展が予定されている。また、春先には私がデザイン監修するTOYOTAショールームが竣工する。
現在の社会情勢を鑑みれば、そのようなことが決まっていることは誠に有り難いことだと思う。
古さの中に新しさ、新しさの中に古きを尋ね、斬新な作品を発表したいと思っている。
自らのためにも大きく飛躍する年にしなければならない。
その誓をたてた。
古典を見つめ直す。伝統的な作品に挑む。
自らを見つめるために旅に出る。現代的な作品に挑む。
陶芸家、デザイナーとして中国、海外での活動を更に充実させる。
誰であっても謙虚に、そして思ったことを恐れずに発言する。
見守ってほしい。
