2004年大場吉美氏とともにに全州市公式訪問をしている。その時からお世話になっている全州市対外協力担当官室官 潘賢娥氏。
2009.06.07 韓国・全州市 宋河珍市長、全州市議、職員、報道関係者らが大樋美術館を表敬訪問 於 大樋邸内茶室「芳土庵」にて
金沢市は世界に７都市と姉妹締結を結んでいる。
最も古い姉妹都市が米国•バッファロー市であり締結50年、最も新しいのが韓国•全州市で締結10年。
このことを祝うレセウションが開かれた。
バッファロー市とのアートを通じた交流に深く関わってきたこともあり、知人多い。
また私が客員教授を務めるロチェスター工科大学は車で30分ぐらいに位置している。
全州市には2004年に招かれて講演を行ったこともある。
また2009年には、宋河珍市長が我家にお越しにもなられており、再会することもできた。
2009年金沢市は国連ユネスコの創造都市ネットワークの「工芸分野」都市に認定された。
全州市は本年5月「食文化分野」都市として認定を受けたばかりだ。
バッファロー市はこれから「デザイン分野」としての認定を目指すことを訪問団から伺った。
都市間の国際交流は盛んになっていくことだろう。金沢の工芸も文化も発信できる手がかりがそこに潜んでいる。

Professor Oba Yoshimi and I visited Chonju City Korea. We know Mrs Pan Hyo Na since that time.
Mayor of Chonju City Korea Song Ha Jin and his delegate visited my house
Kanazawa city links 7 cities and sisters conclusion to the world.
It is the oldest sister city is USA Buffalo city for conclusion 50 years. and Korea Chonju city is the newest
for conclusion ten years.
The celebrated reception was opened.
I have been concerned with interchange through the art with Buffalo City deeply,
and there are many acquaintances.
In addition, the Rochester Institute of Technology where
I act as a visiting professor is located by car for around 30 minutes.
I am invited to Chonju City in 2004 and have been by a lecture.
In addition, 2009, Mayor Song Ha Jin and his delegate visited my house, it was able to meet again.
Kanazawa city was authorized in the “field of craft arts” city of the creation city network
of the United Nations UNESCO in 2009.
Chonju City received authorization as “field of food culture” city in this May.
I was asked the possibility by the delegate about aiming at the authorization as “the field of design” from now on.
An international exchange between cities will be prosperous.
The clue which the culture can send the craft arts of Kanazawa to lies hidden in there.
