家元からの御心をマスコミ各社が以下のように報じてくれている。
「裏千家では新年を祝う茶会「初釜」が始まり、十六代千宗室家元が西脇隆俊京都府知事ら招待客を濃茶でもてなした。
府知事には、能登半島地震で被害を受けた金沢市に伝わる大樋焼の茶盌で振る舞われた。
1席目の後、宗室家元は「復興と言うのはまだ早いかもしれないが、初釜に使ったということが耳に入れば」と話した。」
家元からの励ましに力が湧いてきた。作家仲間も家屋や工房などが全壊し途方にくれている。
彼らを励ますことができるように、何としても私から立ち直らなければならない。

The Urasenke School of Tea celebrated the New Year with a tea ceremony called “Hatsugama.
” Iemoto Sen Soshitsu, the 16th head of the school, entertained Kyoto Governor Takatoshi Nishiwaki
and other invited guests with Koicha, a thick tea ceremony.
After the first tea ceremony, Iemoto Soshitsu said, “It may be too early to say that the prefecture is recovering,
but I hope he will hear that I used his tea bowl for the first tea ceremony.
The encouragement from the Iemoto gave me strength. Fellow artists are also at a loss after their houses
and studios were completely destroyed.
