韓国利川陶芸美術館で開催されていたこの展覧会が終了した。
世界の27人作家によるこのビエンナーレに、私はノミネート作家として［自然と人工の間］というテーマのもとに、
福島第一原子力発電所の事故から起こった放射能に対する問題をコンセプトとして作品発表を行った。
日本、そして金沢の伝統工芸を生業にしながら、現代美術に挑戦できたことは、私にこれからの生き方を教えてくれた気がする。
This exhibition currently held in the South Korean Icheon Ceramics Museum was completed.
I was nominated to this biennial by the 27-artists in the world and I made a work announcement
by making into a concept the problem to the radioactivity which happened from the
accident of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
It was the basis of the theme [between nature and artificiality] as a nomination artist.
I feel that that contemporary art has been challenged taught me the future way of my life,
making the traditional ceramics of Japan and Kanazawa history.
