「東日本大震災後、日本は偏った情報による”風評被害”に苦しんだ。
一人でも多くの世界中の人に、真の日本を伝えてもらいたいと誰もが願った時でもあった。
その日本復興への強い願いから生まれたのがトラベルボランティアプロジェクトだ。
発案者は、石川県金沢市内にある旅行会社、マゼラン・リゾーツ。
そして、2000近くの応募から選ばれたイギリス人カップルのJamieとKaty。
彼らは100日かけて日本全都道府県を回り、日本は今なお美しく、魅力豊かな国であると、
その様子を毎日ブログで世界に発信したのであった。
そんな彼らが春に私を訪ねてきてくれた。そして今回は取材として再会。会食では、参考になる意見なども頂いた。

“Japan was troubled with the “damage caused by rumors” caused by the partial information after the
Great East Japan Earthquake.
It was also a time of everyone’s wishing, when Japanese wanted the some person in many worlds to tell
true Japan. Magellan Resorts in Kanazawa-shi, Ishikawa made a proposer of The travel volunteer project.
And Jamie and Katy of the British couple was chosen from about 2000 application.
Over 100 days, they visited all 47 prefectures and sent the situation to the world by the blog every day as
the Japan is still beautiful.
They visited me in spring. And we met again as coverage this time.
In the dinner party, I had nice conversations with them also.
I convey respect and the feeling of gratitude to the Magellan Resorts staff who devoted in producing,
suggesting a project.
