2001年、9人の作家が集まり活動が始まった。
東京、福岡、北京、ソウル、様々な場所での展覧会をしながら、5冊もの本を出版した。その活動期間を10年として幕を一度閉じた。
今日、発足して20年が過ぎ、そして10年ぶりに皆が集まった。まるでグループサウンズの再結成のようでもあった。
その間、九つの音色のメンバーは、文化庁長官、日本藝術院会員、重要無形文化財保持者、
そして様々な重責を担う作家となっている。私はAKBのような総選挙ともなれば、
9人の中のランキングでは9番目だと思う。今日、再びそのことを実感した。
けれども、そんなメンバーの仲間でいれることは有難いことでもある。それを励みとして精進するつもりだ。
関係者方々、私を応援してくださっている方々にもお集まりいただき、感謝の気持ちに絶えない。

9 artists gather and started in 2001, and activity has started. 5 kind of books were published
while holding an exhibition at Tokyo, Fukuoka, Beijing, Seoul and various places. The active period,
we have ended once as 10 years.
Everyone gathered today started since 20 years passed and gathered in 10 years after.
It also seemed to be re-formation of a group sounds.
Meanwhile members became the Agency for Cultural Affairs chief,
a member of Japan Art Academy and an important intangible cultural asset holder
and carries various heavy responsibility for a member of nine by harmony.
When it’s also a general election like AKB,
I think I will be the 9th by a rank in 9 members. The thing was realized again today.
However it’s also that I’m appreciated by such member’s company.
I’ll devote myself encouraged by that.
The persons supporting the members and my friends attended tonight.
