金沢とベルギー・ゲント市は姉妹都市。長い間、良好な関係を築いてきた。
また、ユネスコ創造都市として、互いが工芸と音楽という領域で認定を受けている。
また、そのような深い縁のお陰で、歴代のゲント市長や関係者が我家を訪問されている。
今回の訪問者は、Maarten Weyler氏。ゲント王立音楽院・音楽学部長を務める氏は、
明日、金沢21世紀美術館で講演をされることになっている。
父も私もゲントを何度か訪れ展覧会を催すなどで、ゲントとの関わりは深い。
金沢とゲント、工芸と音楽で新しい交流が生まれていくことだろう。
Kanazawa and Belgium Ghent city are a sister city for a long time, and a good relation has been built.
Also both us became member of UNESCO Creation City for field of craft and music.
Also it is a reason why Ghent mayor of successive generations and the concerned people visited my family.
Mr. Maarten Weyler visited on this time.
He works at Ghent royal music academy and a music department chief will be lectured on at
Kanazawa 21st Century Museum tomorrow.
My father and I visited Ghent several times, we had exhibitions and has been concerned with Ghent citizen deeply.
A new exchange by Kanazawa and Ghent, craft and music, something will start.
