天気予報は雨だったのに、冬の金沢には珍しい晴れ間だった。
馳浩石川県知事、村山卓金沢市長が中心となって名誉県民、名誉市民でもあった父のためにお別れの会を催してくれた。
弔辞は、山出保 元金沢市長、奥田小由女 日本芸術院第一部会長、宮田亮平 前文化庁長官、野村萬 日本芸術院院長(代読)があり、
全国から900人を超える方々が参列していただいた。
父が亡くなる直前に私が初めて言えたことがある。
「ずっと誇りに思ってたよ」
しばらくして父は旅立っていった。
こんな盛大で厳粛な会に、たんさんの方々から別れを告げられて、父は喜んでいるに違いない。
父がこれまで出会った人々の全てに感謝申し上げます。
At Kanazawa City Culture Hall
The weather forecast was for rain, but it turned out to be a fine day, which is rare in Kanazawa in winter.
Ishikawa Governor Hase Hiroshi and Kanazawa Mayor Takashi Murayama took the lead in holding a farewell
ceremony for my father, because my father was an honorary citizen of the prefecture and city.
The eulogies were delivered by Tamotsu Yamade, former mayor of Kanazawa City; Soyume Okuda,
president of the First Division of the Japan Art Academy; Ryohei Miyata, former Commissioner for Cultural Affairs;
and Man Nomura, president of the Japan Art Academy (read on his behalf).
Just before my father passed away, I was able to say for the first time.o
“I have always been proud of you.”
A short time later, my father departed.
My father must have been happy to be said goodbye from many people at such a grand and solemn gathering.
I would like to thank all the people my father has met so far.
