12 日夜は、齊藤淳 在モントリオール日本国総領事が公邸で夕食会を催してくれた。
13 日は、モントリオール美術館を表敬。キュレーターでもあるローラ ビィーゴ氏からの説明で、
大樋焼 4 代をはじめとした歴代の作品が 10 点以上も所蔵されていることが確認された。
100 年以上も前にこれらの作品が、フランス文化が漂うモントリオールの地に度り、
そして今私が手にしたことは奇跡とも言えるのではないだろうか。
I was invited to Montreal by my friend Takeshi Akamatsu,) Ambassador Permanent Representative of Japan to Montreal.
On the evening of the 12th, Mr. Jun Saito, Consul General of Japan in Montreal, hosted a dinner party at his official residence.
On the 13th, visit to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Laura Vigo, curator of the museum,
confirmed that the museum has at least 10 pieces of Ohi generation works from the past in its collection.
It is a miracle that these pieces came to Montreal more than 100 years ago and have been preserved to this day.
