滴水美術館60周年を記念しての講演、そして茶会に招かれた。
千利休が残した消息や茶杓、弟子であった高山右近、古田織部、細川幽斎の茶杓、また同時代に生きた楽焼の始祖である長次郎茶盌、
我が家にもないような大樋焼歴代の茶盌なども特別に展観されていた。

I was invited to a lecture and tea ceremony to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Tekisui Art Museum near Osaka.
There was a special exhibition of Sen no Rikyu’s writings letters and tea scoops, also tea scoops by
his disciples Takayama Ukon, Furuta Oribe, and Hosokawa Sansai, tea bowl by Chojiro, the founder of
Raku ware who lived in the same period, and tea bowls from successive generations of Ohi-yaki that are not even in my home.
I would like to thank Mr. Akinobu Yamaguchi, Deputy Curator of the museum, Mr. Sanae Horio,
a Urasenke master who was in charge of the tea ceremony, and Mr. Toru Ota for their kind hospitality.
