金沢から車で京都を往復した。京都での滞在時間はたった１時間。
私が師と仰ぐ米国人陶芸家Richard Hirsch先生から共に学んだことから、彼とは20年を超える友情がある。
世界中を共に旅をした。一緒に展覧会を企画したこともある。そして彼の教える何人もの学生が、私の工房で学んできた。
彼が初めて日本で催した個展。すばらしい作品が並んでいた。成功を祈りたい。

I made a round trip to Kyoto by my car from Kanazawa.
Only one hour passed for the short time in Kyoto.
Because I learned from the American ceramist Richard Hirsch whom we look up to as a teacher together,
there is the friendship more than 20 years with him.
I did a trip together in the world with him.
We have planned an exhibition together.
And the student of some whom he taught learned in my studio.
The private exhibition that he held for the first time in Japan.
Splendid works formed a line.
I want to pray for success.
