金沢プライドウィーク金沢2024は、LGBTQ+（性的マイノリティ）への理解を深めるイベントで、世界中から様々な人々が集まった。
19日、金沢の伝統にも触れてもらいたいと大樋美術館と茶室で茶会を主宰させていただいた。
NHK BSの取材がある中で、日本文学研究者・ロバートキャンベル 東京大学教授が「相応」と記し、
渦巻を描いた私との画賛を床に飾り、エッセイスト・小島慶子氏などが正客を務めながら話題が尽きない茶席となった。
20日、金沢市内のパレードに実に450人が参加、私も皆と歩かせていただいた。
金沢は保守的な町だと多くの人に言われる。肯定的にも聞こえるが、否定的に受け止められているのだと思う。
仮にそれが事実だとするなら、LGBTQ+（性的マイノリティ）への理解を深めることは、他の事柄に対しても既存の概念を打破しながら、
正しい方向への街づくりに繋がっていくに違いない。
それが多くの人々の望みなのではないだろうか。
Kanazawa Pride Week Kanazawa 2024 was an event that deepened understanding
of LGBTQ+ (sexual minorities) and people from around the world.
On the 19th, I presided over a tea ceremony at the Ohi Museum and Tea House to give people a chance
to experience Kanazawa’s traditions as well.
While NHK BS was covering the event, Japanese literature scholar and University of Tokyo professor Robert
Campbell wrote the word “suitable,” and a drawing of me with a whirlpool decorated the floor (tokonoma),
while essayist Keiko Kojima and others served as regular guests at the tea ceremony, which was full of topics of conversation.
On the 20th, 450 people participated in a parade in Kanazawa City, and I was able to walk with them.
Many people say that Kanazawa is a conservative town. This sounds positive, but I think it is perceived negatively.
If this is true, then deepening understanding of LGBTQ+ (sexual minorities) must lead to city planning in the right direction,
breaking down existing concepts on other matters as well.
I think that is what many people would like to see.
