於ハワイ大学/at University Hawaii
1998年、ハワイでの公開制作で私から生まれた茶盌に再び会うことができた。
現地の土と火山灰を用いて楽焼で制作したものだ。一つはハワイ大学、もう一つはホノルル美術館に所蔵されている。
25年前、夜の美しい浜辺での焼成が懐かしい。
In 1998, this tea bowl was born from my workshop in Hawaii. I was able to see again.
I made this in Raku ware using local clay and volcanic ash. Now one is in the collection of the University of Hawaii and the other in the Honolulu Academy of Art Museum.
I miss the firing at night on the beautiful beach 25 years ago.
