Hosting for the first time in eight years at Komatsu Mimuokai

column

The Senso Yoshiki Gen’an Tea House in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, was donated by the great tea
master Urasenke Pengunsai a long time ago, partly because of the relationship with Senso-who served the Maeda family.
I still vividly remember attending the tea ceremony at the inauguration of the tea house, and since then,
the monthly tea ceremony has been held at the tea house to this day.

Last year, my eldest son got married, I received the Imperial Prize and the Japan Art Academy Prize,
my father passed away, and the Noto Peninsula earthquake struck.
I tried to perform the tea ceremony while giving thanks for the historical blessings from the Maeda family,
the Urasenke family, the Raku family, and others.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the more than 200 attendees from all over Japan,
and to all those involved for giving me this opportunity.
