Cha’vez Nicolasa女史は、金沢21世紀美術館で行われている金沢世界工芸トリエンナーレにおいて、
サンタフェからのフォークアートのキュレターを務めている。そして今日、彼女のギャラリートークが行われた。
米国•ニューメキシコは米国人でも州であるとことを知らない人が多いそうだ。
メキシコ文化で考えれば北端、地理では米国の南端。
昨年、サンタフェを訪れた際には、彼女にもお世話にもなった。
サンタフェは、複雑にインディアン文化が融合する魅力的な地域でもある。
工芸に関心をもっている中田英寿氏が会場を訪れ、興味深く鑑賞されていた。
この企画展の注目度が高くなることは、金沢の誇りともなるだろう。
In the Kanazawa world crafts triennial currently performed in the 21st Century Museum of
Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Ms. Cha’vez Nicolasa has enacted curator of the folk art from Santa Fe.
And her gallery talk was performed today.
There seem to be many American people does not know about New Mexico being a part of state in the US.
If it thinks in the Mexico culture, at the northernmost end and geography,
it will be at the southernmost end of the U.S.
She was so kind when I visited to Santa Fe last year.
Santa Fe is also an attractive area which Indian culture unites intricately.
Mr. Hidetoshi Nakata who is interested in the craft visited the museum also at that time,
and he was appreciated interestingly.
It will also become the pride of Kanazawa that the attention of this exhibition becomes higher.
