プレストンとクリスは、私が学んだリチャード•ハーシュ教授の卒業生。
彼らは私の後輩でもあり、ロチェスター工科大学大学院で教えたこともある。
プレストンは、ロチェスター工科大学大学院を修了後、金沢で私のアシスタントを長く務めた。
クリスは、ロチェスター工科大学大学院を修了後、同時期に福井•越前村で陶芸を学んだ。
今、彼らはそれぞれの大学で美術を担当する教授となっている。
そして毎年、学生を金沢と越前に連れてくる。今回で６回目となる。
その学生達は孫弟子のような存在なのかもしれない。
嬉しくも、時が流れていくことを痛感する。
Preston Saunders and Chris Kelly learned by my respect Professor Richard Hirsch whom I studied in Boston.
They are my younger generations from him and I have taught them at the Rochester Institute of
Technology graduate school.
Preston was my assistant in Kanazawa for a long time after finishing Rochester Institute of
Technology graduate school.
Chris Kelly studied ceramic art at Fukui Echizen at the same time after finishing the Rochester
Institute of Technology graduate school.
Now, they are the professors for fine arts at each university.
And they are guiding their student to Kanazawa and Echizen every year.
It becomes the 6th time for today.
The students may be existence like pupil’s pupil.
I am glad but I keenly realizes that the time passes.
