八代、九代、十代、そして私で十一代に至る、歴代の大樋長左衞門が収集した約3700冊の本を寄贈した。
父の昔からのコレクションが主なのだが、彼が若い時からどのような本を読みながら大成したのかが垣間見ることもできる。
贈答式では、石川県知事から感謝状をいただいた。
92歳の父は、生かされている証が残せたことを喜んでいる。
