今から12年前、この夫妻の父上が我家に御成になり、ニューヨークのオフィスにも招かれたことがある。
100歳となられた今も交流をさせていただいている。
昨年10月、その長男となるデビット・ ロックフェラー・ジュニア氏にニューヨーク・ジャパンソサエティーでの
私の講演を聞いていただいた。
その際、金沢を訪れ私に会いたいと思って頂いたらしいのだ。
そして今日、我家に御成になられた。大樋美術館見学、茶室で呈茶、作陶、様々に体験していただいた。
その時間は、夫妻がアートをこよなく愛していることを教えてくれた。
「世界に絶大的な影響力を持つ大富豪」私の印象は全く違う。倹約家で温厚な人々。
そして自然やアートと共存した時間を過ごされている。光栄なことに来年春、ニューヨークでの再会を約束してくれた。
金沢マラソンが行われていた。我家の前も続々とランナーが走り抜けていった。
その中には多くの知人もいたのだが、夫妻の訪問時と重なり声援を送れなかったことをここでお詫びいたします。

12 years before, their father has visited to my family and has been also invited to his office in New York.
Now he is 100 years old.
Mr. David Rockefeller Jr. who became the first son attended for my lecture at New York Japan society in October 2014.
Then he seem to have thought in the case, visit Kanazawa and meet me.
And they visited today, Ohi Museum, sheared the tea together at tearoom and made tea bowls.
”In the world said, multimillionaire with great influence” my impression is just different.
They are gentle and frugal person. They coexisted with nature and art.
I learned from them. And we promised me to see each others in spring of next year atNew York.
Kanazawa marathon was performed at same time.
A runner was also running through one after another in front of my home.
Many acquaintances were in it, too,
