新築で再オープンしたこの美術館を訪れた。ボストンに留学していた時、ニューヨークに出向いては、この美術館を訪れたものだ。
また昔、展覧会の準備中だった韓国人・現代アーチスト・ナムジュンパイク氏と出会えたのもこの美術館だった。
現代アートとして、世界を変える数々の作品を目にすることは、実に衝撃的だった。
今日、それらの作品に再び会った。そのことで、留学時代が走馬灯のように蘇がるのだが、受け止める自らに、不思議な違いを感じる。
あれからすでに30年以上が過ぎている。現代アートも私も、アップデートされているのかもしれない。
This art museum was just renewal opened by new building.
Since I studied in Boston University, I sometimes visited this art museum.
I could meet with Korean Contemporary Artist, Mr. Nam June Palk which he was preparing own his exhibition.
It was also this museum.
It was very shocking to see by my eyes on many works which the world is changed as their art.
I met those works again today. And then my studying abroad time was returned but
I found that strange different understanding came up to me.
From that more than 30 years have passed already. I realize that contemporary art and I may be updating.
