知事、学者、大臣、東大教授、今は内閣を支える日本創成会議座長を務める有識者として日本に欠かせない重要人物だ。
今日、金沢で講演をされた。

「少子化対策について従来の対応では、何も変えられない」
官民挙げて、若い世代に的を絞った思い切った支援策を打ち出す必要がある。
多くの地元の政財界の方々が聞き入ったすばらしい内容だった。
増田氏と知り合ったのは、ほぼ20年前。岩手県知事をされていた。
私は政治を語る立場にはないが、官僚にも政治家にもいないスタンスの人だと思っている。
そして、様々に導き頂きながら、敬愛の念で長いお付き合いを頂いている。

It’s approximately 20 years before that I met Mr. Masuda. He was Iwate prefectural governor.
I should not talk about political subject but I think he is the unique person of a stance who does not look for a
bureaucrat and for a politician.
And I have the long relationship by a sense of love and respect while leading and receiving variously.
