金沢市工芸展は、若手作家の登竜門ともなっている。
71回目の最高賞受賞者は、斬新な加賀友禅の着物を発表した毎田仁嗣君。
祖父も友禅作家。それを継いだ父親は無言を貫きながらも受賞した長男の姿を写真にする。
こんな瞬間を私は目撃した。
もちろん、こんな父子の関係は彼らだけではない。今も金沢に生きる人達の伝統的景色なのだ。
この展覧会を主催する金沢市工芸協会は、200人以上の工芸作家が所属している。
会長は文化勲章受章者で日本芸術院会員。顧問には人間国宝が3人。
皆、受賞しながら同じ経験を積み重ねた先輩達でもあるのだ。
毎回、ギャラリートークで私はそんな話を引き出しながら、金沢の今を確かめているのかもしれない。
Kanazawa-City Crafts Competition involves a gateway of an artist of the young people.
The 71st time of best award was Mr. Maida Hitoshi, a kimono of Kaga Yuzen young artist.
His grandfather was a Yuzen artist, the father who continues also and never has warm word to eldest
son but took pictures during the ceremony. I was witnessed such a moment.
Of course, such father and child’s relation isn’t only the case.
Now is also the traditional scenery of the people who live in Kanazawa.
More than 200 artists belong to the Kanazawa City Crafts Council which sponsors this exhibition.
A chairperson is an Order of Cultural Merit awarder of the decoration, Member of Japan Art Academy.
For an advisor, 3 of living national treasures.
Everyone is also the superiors who piled up the same experience while winning.
It may be the one by which I’m making sure of Kanazawa’s now while getting such account each
time by a gallery toque.
