親交のあった元横綱・千代の富士、九重親方が亡くなった。現役時代には陶芸制作で精神修養した時もある。
我家にも何度も訪ねられている。
裏千家坐忘斎御家元とは大変に懇意にされていて、毎年の初釜でもお会いしてきた。
幕内優勝３１回、国民栄誉賞を受賞した昭和の大横綱・千代の富士！
そんなヒーローの命はこの世限りではない。
皆の心に生きていく。そう信じたい。

Great grand champion sumo wrestler Chiyonofuji died and he was my friend also.
When he was doing spirit training by ceramics production in the active age,
He also visited many times in my home.
He was very much cross friend of Urasenke Grand Tea Master zabousai too,
and even yearly I have met him at new year tea ceremony.
Chiyonofuji! Great grand champion sumo wrestler and who won 31 times of championship and
received People’s Honor Award!
He is hero and his life isn’t this world limit.
He is living in all people heart. I’d like to believe it so.
