カリフォルニア州の弁護士でもある彼は、日本に長く住みながら築いてきた独自の日本感を持っている。

これが日本の憲法であり国家なのだそうだ。
確かに財布を落としても戻るのは日本の道徳。他国はそうはならないだろう。
日本は日本で守るべき！これが彼の主張でもあった。
APAグループの新年互礼会での彼の講演は反響が大きかったようだ。
その後の新年会では各国の大使と共に私も鏡割りをさせて頂いた。
残念なことはあまりの多くの参加者で彼とはゆっくり話ができなかった。
