ロエベ財団は、世界で最も評価が高いとされているこの工芸コンペを主催している。
今回、この財団に韓国ソウルへと招かれ、シーラ ロエベ会長をはじめとして意見交換をさせていただいた。
ファイナリスト30人の作品は、韓国初となる韓国工芸専門の博物館としてオープンしたばかりのソウル工芸博物館（SeMoCA）
に展示されており、6月30日にはユニークなオープニングパーティも催された。
大賞となった作品などのいくつかは、11月に開催される予定の
金沢・世界工芸コンペティションでも展示されることにもなった。

The LOEWE Foundation is hosting this craft competition,
considered to be one of the most acclaimed in the world.
This time, I was invited to this foundation in Seoul, Korea, and I had the opportunity to exchange
opinions with President Sheila Loewe.
The works of the finalists are on display at Seoul Museum of Craft Art (SeMoCA), which has just opened
as Korea’s first museum dedicated to Korean crafts, and a unique opening party was held on June 30.
Some of the works that won the grand prize will also be exhibited at the Kanazawa World
Crafts Competition scheduled to be held in November.
