横浜ロイヤルパークホテル65階にあり、天空の茶室とも言われ、
私の敬愛したデザイナー田中一光氏のデザインによるもので、命名もされている。
実は30年前の秋、この茶室の初披露茶会があり田中一光先生が席主となり、
招待客として伊住政和氏、内田繁氏、杉本貴志氏、12代中村宗哲氏などの茶美会のコアメンバーが集結したのだった。
考えてみればその際に招かれた方々でこの世に生きているのは私だけなのかもしれない。
6/21-6/26の横浜高島屋での個展のための内覧会を兼ねての茶話会で、席主を務めさせていただいたのだが、
あの世から皆さんもいてくれた気がしたのだった。
Located on the 65th floor of the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, it is also known as the Tea Room in
the Sky and was designed and named by Ikko Tanaka, a designer whom I greatly admire.
In fact, 30 years ago in the fall, the tea room was unveiled for the first time with Ikko Tanaka as the host,
and core members of the Sabine including Masakazu Izumi, Shigeru Uchida, Hiroshi Sugimoto,
and the 12th generation Sotetsu Nakamura, gathered as invited guests.
Come to think of it, I may be the only person alive today who was invited to that event.
Today, I was the host of the tea party that served as a preview for my solo exhibition at the
Yokohama Takashimaya from June 21 to 26, and I felt as if everyone was there from the other side of the heaven
