今回のテーマは「工芸におけるリージョナルなもの」となっており、
オーストラリア、アメリカ（サンタフェ）などの先住民による文化的手仕事、
台湾は馴染み深い「織」「編」などの技術や竹を用いたアートと融合した工芸、日本は独自的な工芸的な広がりを展開している。
開幕した今日、各国のキュレータによる講演、懇親会、夕食会が盛大に行われた。
金沢市工芸協会が主催するこの展覧会は、現代アートから工芸を捉える世界の第一人者でもある秋元雄史 金沢21世紀美術館館長の
プロデュースによるものだ。世界的な現代アートのリーダーが、
金沢から工芸を発信してくれることに金沢市民は深い敬愛の念を抱き始めている。

This exhibition is held by Kanazawa crafts Council and Akimoto Yuji who is also an authority of World
catches the craft from contemporary art. It is based on the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.
Kanazawa people are beginning to cherish the sense of deep veneration in the leader of
global contemporary art sending the craft from Kanazawa.
